Mayan Beach, Tulum

(4.4/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Combine historical exploration with seaside recreation at Mayan Beach, an area of sandy and rocky coastline that includes a set of Mayan ruins. On top of a rocky bluff, find the ruined walls of the old town, overlooking the beach and the Caribbean Sea. Head down the steps to get to the sand and the water, and relax under the watchful eye of the ancient town's fortifications. The rocky bluff, dotted with palms and shrubs, completes the picture-perfect scene. • After the Tulum ruins there is a beautiful relaxing beach. The sand was perfect as was the water. You can see a lot of iguanas there :)
