  • Its interior is much more interesting than its facade. I'm not into both churches, but it was one of the most beautiful that I met in Mexico. Is so much detail that the brain is not able to render right. Ocotlan is almost a quarter of Tlaxcala. And a neighborhood around.

  • The Temple of our Lady of Ocatlan is, without doubt, one of the greatest achievements of the Stipe Baroque or Churrigueresque in Mexico. Achieved, as Santa Prisca, a feeling of escape to visually narrow the base of the towers. It is only a visual effect that achieves the architect with the introduction of a calf on the basis that divided the space into three, and the pronouncement of warped cornices, as well as the modularity of a pilaster and two columns by corner in the bodies of the towers. The façade is the richest composition attained in the Tlaxcala construction of brick and mortar. It is composed as a stunning altarpiece niche under a conchiforme production. In two bodies flutter them seven archangels that flank to the Immaculate Conception, that is stands on a San Francisco of Assisi with those three balloons, symbol of their orders.
