  • Mexico is full of beautiful churches. The history of this one is very interesting and is displayed on the walls
  • If you have time you can walk from Tlaxcala socket to the top to get to the Basilica of Ocotlán, is a small church, but in it you'll find the Virgin appeared on a tree (ocote). Alternatively you can take a taxi, which are very economical.

  • The Temple of our Lady of Ocatlan is, without doubt, one of the greatest achievements of the Stipe Baroque or Churrigueresque in Mexico. Achieved, as Santa Prisca, a feeling of escape to visually narrow the base of the towers. It is only a visual effect that achieves the architect with the introduction of a calf on the basis that divided the space into three, and the pronouncement of warped cornices, as well as the modularity of a pilaster and two columns by corner in the bodies of the towers. The façade is the richest composition attained in the Tlaxcala construction of brick and mortar. It is composed as a stunning altarpiece niche under a conchiforme production. In two bodies flutter them seven archangels that flank to the Immaculate Conception, that is stands on a San Francisco of Assisi with those three balloons, symbol of their orders.
