  • This is a typical market of any place in Mexico and the world, but not to be "humble" character this is necessarily cheap nugar specific Tijuana is has overrated for locals as well for tourists then is not typical if picturesque also but for the premises is not a place to go to do your daily shopping for business maybe if you are a tourist you liked the picturesque and prices are obvious for tourist (most high) If you are a resident or citizen Mexican American and like nostalgically remember your place of origin Mexican is for you therefore prices and this will leave comment overrunning but this is a review for the market and for local

  • Taste of Mexican culture, typical mercado central parking and shops connected internally in the perimeter. You can find everything, from food to ceramics. Being one of the largest and most neighbors at the border, slightly lost the characteristic features, but if you don't have time to visit other, smaller and scattered around the city, go to Hidalgo is a great choice.

  • everything you want to find which typically Mexican, you will find it in the Hidalgo market, from a clay pot, a griddle, a piñata, sweets, fruit legitimate from each region, to place to eat with the flavor of the region. natural medicines, cheeses, cream has a wide variety of products from the regions of our country Mexico. If you haven't been to the market then you don't know Tijuana.

  • This is a fun place to take the kids, as there’s so much to see, and plenty of places to grab food or snacks. It was very busy when we came, and it was a long line to get into the parking lot. If someone in your group can’t handle too much walking, this would be a good place since it’s basically a circle with the parking located in the middle of it all. There are parking attendants to guide you around, and help you park. It cost 5pesos to use the toilet, but it’s kept clean with running water. It’s not wheelchair friendly, but it could be manageable if you have a bit of patience.
  • This place is fun to visit but not when it's super busy... I went once and it was so nice to walk around and taste different candies and fruit etc while they have music playing in the distance etc...but the second time I went it was buzzing with noise, traffic, limited to no parking, lots of people walking up and down the aisles. I love the botanica shop, it has awesome finds for great prices. Produce is great too and the fresh coconut is a must. It's best to come here early in the morning to avoid the afternoon traffic chaos.
  • Produce, cheese, meat, kitchenware, sweets, toys, lunch and more. The Mercado Hidalgo is visitor-friendly but not a tourist trap. Because of that, though, don't expect to get as good a deal as you might at some of the more bare-bones marketplaces (Mercado Juarez, for example). But it was a great place to bring my visiting family, to find a few souvenirs and give them a taste of "real" Mexico without too much culture shock.
  • My family and I love traveling here. The products and food are authentic and you cant complain about the prices. It's nice to walk here to kill some time, maybe buy a fresh coco nut juice, some fruit, and candies. Theu have a few restaurants, try them all.
  • Ok this place gets five stars because this was the place my father took us all the time. They have all kinds of goodies. Fruit, veggies, party supplies, kitchen supplies, house hold decor they have a variety of Pharmacies too chose from. They have face painting, coffee shops, music. Clean bathrooms, 2 pesos each person but the bathrooms are clean. You do have to pay for parking and it's difficult to find parking. But it brings back a lot of good memories.
