  • We came down for and amazing weekend lost in the wildness and it was so perfect! No internet and candle lights instead of light bulbs! It was very romantic and adventurous.  more »

  • They blocked the road to Cañón de la zorra waterfall here at the Rancho and are charging $3 per person to get in. Or if you pay in pesos it's $100 per person ($5.41 at today's exchange rate). Almost double if you pay in pesos!!? Seems ridiculous especially since the actual baño and parking for cañón de la zorra is another 150 feet past the ranch house and historically has been free. I think they charge to "tour the Rancho" but they don't actually take you on a tour, they know you are going to hike to the waterfall.
  • A beautiful oasis in the middle of the desert, perfect day trip!
  • The rooms are very comfortable, the kitchens are well equipped with pans, dishes and cutlery. Despite being in a place despoblado next to a waterfall, there are bathroom and shower. They do not have electric light in nature, but that makes it exciting. There is a restaurant, but it is better to bring your own food with ice to make it last. There are stove and bonfires can be done.
