  • This trip requires a pretty long drive down a sandy road, but is totally worth it. Our standard rental car made it down the road just fine. You can walk to the waterfall and swim in the pool beneath.....  more »
  • Little rough getting there, but the Waterfall was wonderful. Worth the drive back in the mountains. You won't regret it.  more »
  • The drive up to the waterfall was rough. The roads hadn't been graded in awhile and we had rented a mini van which wasn't the best vehicle for the dirt roads. If you get car sick easily, I recommend.....  more »
  • The drive in is a challenge. It's an unpaved, washboard of a road made of sand. Quite soft in places. Take your time. Google maps got us there but wasn't perfect. The hike is not too difficult but can be quite steep in parts. There are are irregular steps where it is steep which help. The waterfall is lovely with a nice pool at the bottom for wading or swimming. Definitely worth it
  • It's a bit of a drive to get here. Definitely want to go during the warmer months if you want to swim. Costs $6 a person. Easy hike to the falls and yes it can be done in flip flops however I would suggest tennis shoes. We've been a few times and if your looking for a half day trip away from the hustle and bustle then pack some water, beers, snacks and your towels and enjoy.
  • Short, but very steep climb down and back up on extremely well maintained trail. Well worth every step. Take bathing suit and waterproof camera if you have one. You won't be sorry. Extra bonus if you bring some food for the little fish, who will be expecting it. Many, many thanks to the wonderful lady's who manage the trailhead.
  • Rustic rooms, stunning ecology. Bring your own drinking water, food, flashlight. Short hike to amazing desert oasis and waterfall.
  • A 'mission' to get to but worth the effort. Also known as Sol de Mayo and Canon de la Zorra. 4WD vehicle best but sedan will work if you take it slow. Google maps or GPS essential. Wear hiking shoes for 20-min hike to lagoon and waterfall. Several steep steps. Lagoon in Feb. was cool, clean and swimmable. Varying depths from mid-calf to 3 meters. Limited shade. USD 6 admission. English-speaking host and washrooms available. Highly recommended.
