No doubt a trip that is worth much. San Sebastian West exceeded my expectations in fun. We arrived on Friday to stay in a rustic but very comfortable hotel (arcs of the Sun). Comfortable bed, soft blankets, hot water, satellite tv, wifi and a pretty good restaurant. To our luck by tripadvisor found tourism malibri which is a boy with a pickup truck that is dedicated to bringing groups of people to the bufa, however, to contact you to arriving told us that they were already all the places reserved for a group of people by what we could no longer use this medium. Disappointed we had already heard of the option to go on Quad bikes and it was an unforgettable experience although we were undecided since we had never led ATV, although at a higher price, we decided to ask for reports on "my general" which is just in front of diconsa, 800 pesos they lend you an automatic ATV for 2 people, teach you how to use the Quad bike, leaving several ATVs in group with two guides one forward and one back of the group. It was the best decision we could have made. A unique trip with landscapes of film and fun extreme driving a quad bike in the middle of the forest, are 40 minutes to raise and lower. Highly recommended, one of the best experiences of my life. When you reach the top unfortunately it was full of fog and we could not see anything, however we did not care because the fun was on the journey and not the destination. I would have regretted going in van. No doubt I will return to do. In addition there are other trips more lengths of 3 hours to mines and caves old although at a higher price. No doubt the price of the ATV is worth by the unique experience. Note: increase the price if it takes most 2 hours, in my case did the exact hours, parece.que depends on the speed at which you go. Please do not comes to mind walk 6 hours hill top or car (or to PRI up those roads full of potholes, rocks, curves and land) in places I recommend the bar micheladas "micheladas handrail" there tasted the best michelada of my life for 70 pesos, It is located in one of the corners of the square. The coffee mountain which has sooo affordable prices, frapés for 30 pesos, coffee by 15, standing, nachos is located next to the square also. He recommended them if they want to go in pickup before call phones from malibri tours to see if they have space, and to the ATVs my general can also book before or ask for reports.

It is undoubtedly one of the best viewpoints in the West of the country. If you are looking for is to spend a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city, San Sebastián de el Oeste and the viewpoint of the cerro de La Bufa are an excellent choice. I suggest you arrive early to take advantage of the day, before climbing the Hill you can visit the mines Sta. Gertrudis, is 30 minutes walk from the town square. It is worth mentioning that they are vestiges of the mines in the area, the road and the place are properly marked, however, do not have high expectations, only it is a magic point to visit. There are several options to climb to the lookout; You can be walking (estimated time 6-7 hours in total), on horseback, in particular vehicle (provided it is off-road as it is only possible to get it to a certain extent, the rest must walk is), or which I highly recommend, quadbike. For those who like adventure, climb the Hill quadbike is an unforgettable experience. The route from the village to the Summit and back has an approximate duration of 3 hours. The average cost of the rental of ATVs is going from $250 up to the $400 pesos per hour, this rate depends on the type of bike, because it can be automatic or semi automatic and are subject to availability, so I advise that you book them from your arrival or most temp possible Rano. There are several places to rent them, some include guided tour and others allow you to make free use of the vehicle, so you can choose the option that best suits your budget. No doubt, as you make the journey, you will have contact with nature in a unique way. Especially during the summer, check the weather forecast before your trip many times because the density of clouds or rain is not suitable to climb, since the road becomes risky with water or simply at the top you will not appreciate absolutely nothing. This place is perfect for pictures, personally, I super recommend climbing in the afternoon to watch the sunset from the top, just don't forget to bring enough battery in your mobile devices, a small flashlight, plenty of water to hydrate you, and in some sometimes even a sweater to wrap up, because at any time of the year up it makes something cold. The truth, whether it's with friends, your partner or friends, this place offers you moments of relaxation, fun and adventure like no other.

Cerro de la Bufa is not easy to get to, but it is worth the effort. We rented ATVs in town, and rode up the mountain road, which in most places is very bumpy, sometimes right along the edge of a very ...  more »
