  • Simply beautiful pyramids, have highly conserved place, you can enter several pyramids because they are tombs, it's fascinating to go and see how to put the dead, I recommend hiring a guide who sweeps you the history of the place, has free parking, there is a small market of handicrafts with very accessible prices, don't forget to visit the Temple of San Pablo, who is also cute and built it with material of the pyramids paid the entrance with the exception of Sunday but it is worth by the preserved that take the place

  • The only place worth visiting here. The rooms are beautiful and well preserved, the detail on the walls is beautiful. No two decorations are alike! Also really enjoyed the plant life, especially the cactuses used as fences!
  • Its ok but after monte alban or palenque u expect more ;) good when u drive by.
  • Fantastic archeological site. Lots of well preserved ruins and easy to navigate. Great day trip from Oaxaca!
  • Good place to visit. The main attractive is the church. After 6pm it is like a ghost town. You can find lot of handcrafts.
  • Visiting the Zona Arqueologica de Mitla was worth the trip to Oaxaca alone! Just one of the fun facts I learned during this visit was that around the 1300's to the 1500's Mitla, Oaxaca was one of the largest cities of the world with 900,000 people! This ruin is the only remaining structure of its time. It is said there were 600 of these palaces once in existence.
