  • If you investigate, and perhaps time must not take the name of Chapel Sixtina.Pero... I just met in 1986, you could enter a few meters from the entrance. You not communicate much, it was almost in ruins, but I remember he had by the old ramshackle trucks and the use, which traian people arriving with their few belongings, humble, and arriving in knees to make a manda, very sincere petitions, who believe in their faith to God. Today instead, restored are paintings, images and sculptures there a Christ image dark that you sobregoge by looking at it, is in the middle of the right side. The Church is beautiful. He has history on his side, since the father of the Independencia de Mexico, leaving the town of Dolores Hidalgo ranged +/-28 km up to this sanctuary and took a banner with the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe as a flag of this movement and here is directed to the Alhondiga de Granaditas in Guanajuato, Guanajuato. In 2014, also, visit it I started to feel something close to the altar, then leaves a mother, and tells us if we want to pass to the vault that is behind the altar, passing through the sacristy, we say yes, and let us pass, there in the vault there are castles crowned at the top with statues of the Apostles with their names I notice that the San Pedro has no figure, I communicate to my spouse, and she says to me let me ask the person behind you, and there was no one, but my spouse saw it, the mother is given account approaches and tells us saw something?, my spouse tells him if she answers many people don't worry look something I started to feel something but intense, he sweated, Chapel is beautiful, we went out there, and then let us go to another wing of the Church that is on the left side near the entrance, and there are some incredible images, touched me very deeply, both sali crying Church. Not fit doubt that there God you touches, and it is an experience that I have not had any other Church, and look at that I have seen enough, churches and Metropolitan Cathedral of Mexico City, that of Guadalajara, Guanajuato, Puebla, Cholula, San Miguel de Allende, etc., etc. So I think that if Mexico or America Sistine Chapel, both in its construction, paints images, sculptures, etc. but mainly because there if Almighty God feels. Also today there is a root of a tree incredible near the shrine, on the fence of a ranch, with the image of Jesus Christ, because they all added a special site, admirenlo! I recommend this sanctuary of Jesús Nazareno de Atotonilco, Guanajuato, and hopefully have the bliss of feeling that I experience that time, and that just to go, and the only recall touches me, the depths of my soul.

  • Arriving is easy, by car. The sanctuary is the only thing which can be visited in Atotonilco, Gto. But the paintings of interiors are spectacular, especially the first hand left into Chapel It is the most luminous and from my point of view, the best preserved. The painter employment 30 years of his life to give color and meaning to these spaces and the truth is that it has much to parity with the Sistine Chapel, in terms of artistic quality. Well worth the visit to this beautiful shrine.

  • We arrived early to tour the Santuario. We lost time and the church started to fill with parishioners. Deciding to stay a few more minutes, we were drawn into the service and stayed.  more »
