(4.6/5 based on 280 reviews on the web)
Take a unique look into traditional Mexican culture through Bill LeVasseur's Mask Museum, an exhibition dedicated to traditional Mexican ceremonial masks. The museum features more than 500 masks collected over 25 years, and all masks have been used in indigenous dance ceremonies, verifying their authenticity. Learn about the teachings behind each mask through Bill's enthusiastic tours. Because it is a private collection displayed in a home, you'll need to call ahead to book an appointment. Some masks are even available to purchase. See Mask Museum and all San Miguel de Allende has to offer by arranging your trip with our San Miguel de Allende trip itinerary planner.

  • Impressive collection and exhibition of masks only in Mexico, apart from not to serve as a business but as an NGO since donate your tickets to charities and causes incredible that the owners of such incredible acquis are foreigners! Bill & Heidi which should be grateful all Mexicans as without them and their great effort, all this great cultural legacy would be scattered or lost forever...

  • Today we visited the Museum of the mask. We arrived without an appointment and the owner of the site kindly opened the doors of the place, which seemed to me a very good gesture on his part. The place is charming, since you enter, shown originality in every corner. The collection of masks is impressive, the most interesting is that in every small collection, it is possible to read a brief account of the history that is behind. A site to visit to learn more about our culture and how, through the mask, there are so many representations of our past.
