  • See my review of Bellas Artes, my favorite building in San Miguel de Allende that contains the well known arts school called Bellas Arts.  more »
  • This is an art institute that has some beautiful murals. You can visit the store in the front of the building and walk around the halls. The class rooms were neat to see as they students were painting...  more »
  • Although there is one room marked "no photography," there are others and the hallways with wonderful lighting. Be sure to lolk up from the center courtyard for a view of the church spire.  more »

  • Worth wandering in to see the restored old convent and its beautiful courtyard. Ground floor salons house temporary and permanent art exhibits while on the second floor are rooms for ceramics and fine arts classes, as well as a lecture hall. The bulletin board at the building's entrance is a good place to check for upcoming lectures, music, and other happenings throughout San Miguel. FYI, most people in SMA call it "Bellas Artes."
  • Used to be an art school turned into a gallery. Thered an interesting hallway where you're not allowed to photograph anything. Do it anyway.
  • There are classes on offer here in dance, drawing, painting and weaving. There are interesting exibits of large scale paintings and drawings as well as photography.
  • Free entrance, some artwork & great patio. Building not in great shape.
  • Really pretty structure. It´s worth taking a look.
