  • Right in the middle of all the action. Always busy and lots of things going on. Lots of benches and surrounded by shops and restaurants. Music almost every night. Very safe and great for everyone!
  • Very nice inside/outside sidewalk cafe under cover and next to a beautiful garden center square and right in front of the majestic main cathedral of SMA. Good food, good service, friendly, attentive staff. Caution: coffee refills are not free - they charge by the cup. Not a big deal, it's cheap. Great place for pictures.
  • The very heart of San Miguel, met the magnificence of his cathedral, hear the live mariachi, get a snack and your next profile picture-selfie, get going from here to any directions to find all kind of amusement; historic and graceful buildings, restaurants, shops and vibrant public spaces in every corner at any hour. Use handy shoes and get your camera ready. Mind your ice cream.
  • This is where the real hanging out takes place. It can get full of people but but perhaps that just adds to it. Nice to have a break and refreshment. Lively in the evenings as well, with many mariachi bands playing.
  • The beautiful French (?) Style park, shady, lively, adjoins the famous Parrish church, the Paroquia one sees on all the postcards. Wonderful all day and well into the evening. Sitting in the park, watching daily life is one of the best things in SMA. Shows a stark contrast to public, community life in the USA, where we rarely are in the company of our neighbors in public. Really shows what we don't have. So wonderful to see and experience.
