Sit down under the perfectly trimmed laurel trees and take in the vibrant atmosphere of El Jardin. The center of social life in San Miguel De Allende, right across from the beautiful Parroquia, offers plenty of public events and activities, especially on weekends. • This is where the real hanging out takes place. It can get full of people but but perhaps that just adds to it. Nice to have a break and refreshment. Lively in the evenings as well, with many mariachi bands playing.
  • The beautiful French (?) Style park, shady, lively, adjoins the famous Parrish church, the Paroquia one sees on all the postcards. Wonderful all day and well into the evening. Sitting in the park, watching daily life is one of the best things in SMA. Shows a stark contrast to public, community life in the USA, where we rarely are in the company of our neighbors in public. Really shows what we don't have. So wonderful to see and experience.
  • The garden square is the heart for San Miguel. Great shopping, dining and people watching can be found here.
  • Beautiful spot. Spent various hours of the day sitting, writing, people watching. Much going on.
  • Yet another lovely san miguel square
