  • Gorgeous and unusual, this 25 year old botanical preserve is restoring valuable habitat while providing a glimpse into the wildness that once prevailed. Tip: There is a free shuttle that will take you...  more »
  • This extensive site is full of native and exotic desert flora. The succulent house is particularly beautiful. The gift shop has high quality items and breakfast at the food stand was delicious!  more »
  • Well worth a half day to walk the gardens, view the cacti displays, hike down the canyon, and tour La Plaza de los Quatro Vientos (Plaza of the Four Winds). Best to take a taxi or Uber to the entrance...  more »

  • This place is so beautiful during the rainy season (June - September). There is so much serenity walking through the pathways near the gorge. The only thing that is missing is the adequate signage to alert the visitor of hazards throughout the walkways and a proper food stall which ironically did not sell the basic bottled water but instead caned fruit juice. But is definitely worth a visit while in SMA.
  • Super nice cactus garden. Very large With lots of walking paths. Nice little snack stand and gift shop.
  • Wonderful, peaceful place that I think is a must see when visiting SMA. It sits high on the East side of town, with all different kinds of flora and fauna native to the region. You can spend hours enjoying nature, hiking around in the canyon or just sitting by the water, all for just $40mxn. They provide various events including a temascal and full moon ceremonies monthly that are worth the while (check calendar on website). Allow from 1-3 hours here, and a little time in the gift shop on the way out. Bring your own bottled water - they only sell mineral.
  • Very nice environment, it's beautiful to see. Please remember that the sun is scolding hot, so bring a hat and sunscreen. I would love to see this place in the rainy season, to see the waterfall
  • Good for a stroll and a snack.. cheap entry. Lots of shady nooks for quiet contemplation and appreciation.
