  • I did the cardio walk straight up Nunez and Homobono Street from San Fransisco. It’s a challenged but very heart healthy. The last 1/3 is flat. This is a quiet historic place. A true reserve. Besides ...  more »
  • Very nice place, many species of cacti by know, a place with a "lago-represa" disused. Bird watching is a good attraction. My recommendations, bring sunscreen, a cap or hat and comfortable shoes and eager to walk. Need routes of exit signs, as well as greater security measures for visitors, I believe that the guides that are there should be identified and/or uniformed. The cost per person is 50 pesos, with special price for students and persons with INAPAM credential. Best regards!

  • I found many cactaseas with mushrooms and whole very neglected garden. It's a shame I was expecting something like the Museum of the desert of Saltillo.

  • Wonderful staff. It can be hot there, and there's not a lot of shade. The streets leading up to that area are diabolically configured cobblestones. Cars are limited to about 9 mph, if that, because infrastructure. Still, not to be missed. Beautiful gorges in the middle of the gardens, many fine vistas throughout. Quite decent food at the modest snack bar. Quite a nice gift shop Again, wonderful staff, you will need a taxi call to leave the place (or be a burly hiker) and the staff will do that for you.
  • My wife and I loved this place. Walking trails are well maintained, lots of cacti we don't see much of, lake with ducks, cool canyon below the dam and great vista where the trail turns back to the main building. It was good to get out of the city for a change and we also had a nice lunch here with homemade bread!
  • Beautiful succulent and cactus gardens. Tasty food and I've cream bar... Nice gift shop also. Quiet and secluded from town.
  • Enjoyed a wonderful visit to the botanica where a large variety of plants and awesome views abound. We even saw a shy bobcat walking along the empty stream bed! 50 pesos per person. They will call a taxi for you when your visit is complete. Oh, and they have a nice giftshop and cafe, too.
  • Amazing place. High chaparral ecosystem. Nice walking trails. Interesting micro-climate exhibits. Interesting cultural displays built into the landscape. Amazing views of the city and surrounding areas, as well as the distant mountain ranges. I took the guided tour on one of my visits and the guide was amazing.
