Excellent place to meet variety of cacti and desert plants of the region, the most. Re-fuel if you arrive in San Miguel de Allende. If you're a lover of outdoor exercise, it is highly recommended to run, you breathe pure air and pass you admire the fauna and nature. And if you are motivated to reach the edge of the grounds of the ingenuity, you'll be rewarded with a wonderful view of San Miguel.

Visit the charco del ingenio is an opportunity to remember and learn more about the native flora of is and some other regions. It is a space of peace, harmony and opportunity to find himself. I recommend going in the morning so they can travel without much sun. A good experience...

This botanical garden is very much worth a visit, but the flora and fauna you see will be very dependent on time of year/weather pattern. July was a bit hot, and there wasn't much in the way of wildlife. My last visit included a ton of beautiful lizard sightings and several different duck and bird species. This visit was a little warmer and I did not see many birds/lizards. The greenhouse was also being renovated so the wonderful water feature and all the tropical plants were kind of "on hold." It is something I will always include in my SMA visits, but earlier in the day during July!

This place is so beautiful during the rainy season (June - September). There is so much serenity walking through the pathways near the gorge. The only thing that is missing is the adequate signage to alert the visitor of hazards throughout the walkways and a proper food stall which ironically did not sell the basic bottled water but instead caned fruit juice. But is definitely worth a visit while in SMA.

Super nice cactus garden. Very large With lots of walking paths. Nice little snack stand and gift shop.

Wonderful, peaceful place that I think is a must see when visiting SMA. It sits high on the East side of town, with all different kinds of flora and fauna native to the region. You can spend hours enjoying nature, hiking around in the canyon or just sitting by the water, all for just $40mxn. They provide various events including a temascal and full moon ceremonies monthly that are worth the while (check calendar on website). Allow from 1-3 hours here, and a little time in the gift shop on the way out. Bring your own bottled water - they only sell mineral.

Very nice environment, it's beautiful to see. Please remember that the sun is scolding hot, so bring a hat and sunscreen. I would love to see this place in the rainy season, to see the waterfall

Good for a stroll and a snack.. cheap entry. Lots of shady nooks for quiet contemplation and appreciation.
