  • This museum is great, teach you to identify the original amber and the false, you have unique pieces! Very economic input, and more if you have credential student and INAPAM. Besides you can enjoy the property. The only detail is that of 14 to 16 hrs. It is closed. Not to be confused with another Museum, this is good!

  • The first thing you would recommend to anyone who wants to take advantage of your travels to Chiapas to buy amber is that you visit the Museum, for 25 pesos we teach to distinguish the true from the falsificacione amber and then we can enjoy a Museum in which you will learn that it is and where is amber and enjoy parts unusual and work on the amber that fixed do not leave you indifferent, we see Visual audio which shows how amber is worked and at the end of the tour you can buy pieces of amber in the museum store, Museum, which was a convent and thanks to this museum is a restored. For my is a must-see and I recommend it to everyone

  • Small but very interesting to visit and learn some. Also has one of extremely rare scorpions in Amber so that's very cool to see. And a beautiful and historic building.
  • Good little museum. They also give a quick lesson in how to tell real ambar from the fake stuff.
  • Great museum with amazing Amber sculptures, if you are looking to buy Amber I suggest visiting Simojovel in Chiapas
  • Small, but interesting and for 25 pesos I think it's worth it to learn a bit about amber and see some interesting pieces. All explanations are in Spanish.
  • True amber here, find where you must get to know alive in San Cristobal or come visit
