  • This museum gives a history of the founding of SanCris and the evangelization of the surrounding communities. Some interesting Maya artifacts, as well as Spanish swords and religious paintings. Worth ...  more »
  • It was a very pleasant surprise finding this type of museums that recount the history of the State of Chiapas and pre-Hispanic conquest its very well-kept rooms and large halls, joined the side of the Santo Domingo Church a project well managed and rescued congratulations and also have the opportunity to visit the textile exhibition of Chiapas. I recommend you don't go further which lies a tianguis to the outskirts of the convent of Santo Domingo where you can enjoy the wide variety of Chiapas crafts

  • MUSEO DE LOS ALTOS DE CHIAPAS (exposes archaeological finds from surrounding areas), CENTRO DE TEXTILE DEL MUNDO MAYA that exposes more than 500 specimens of handmade textiles from all over Mexico (these two museums are located within the former CONVENTO DE SANTO DOMINGO, located on the eastern side of the TEMPLO DE SANTO DOMINGO, but different plane; ticket 55 pesos per person)
