  • Rancho Nuevo is a private par with horses to rents, camping, hiking trails, zip lines and food stalls. The most interesting part are the caverns which extend about 1000 meters into the hill. The caver...  more »
  • Nice setting with fun activities like zip lining, horseback riding, and the "grutas" are impressive. The children enjoyed the activities. 10 pesos per person to go in and all activities have an extra ...  more »
  • We went there from San Cristobal in a "combi" & were amazed by the grutas themselves, but we found it quite unfair that they ask you for money to get into the grutas in the first place ($20 MXN) & by ...  more »

  • Really awesome cave and park. There are swings outside along with massive slides where you slide down on with flattened large soda bottles. The cave was really interesting and near the end you can pay an additional 30 pesos for a tour and torch/helmet rental. Great experience overall and only a 20 minute taxi ride from San Cristobal.
  • Great place to stop close by San Cristobal. The caves are impressively large, and the food at the small market is great. There's a fun concrete slide for kids (and adults if you're in the mood) to slide down on plastic bottles.
  • A very nice place to enjoy nature and peace of the city. Horse riding, enjoy a rich climate as well as the palate with typical meals and thus also about the corn in different varieties

  • a very comforting place, clean, well maintained, to spend a day entirely disconnected from the ordinary, the Grotto itself, has very good infrastructure for walking safely inside

  • By 5 pesos per person entry, you can park virtually anywhere. Various activities have their own costs (Tyrolean $100, caves $20, Museum $5, horseback ride from $20, $ shooting range?, cabin rental $1500 overnight with plenty of space for many people). Free slide, camping is free, area food and crafts with great variety. WORTH
