Xel-Ha, Riviera Maya

(4.2/5 based on 13,000+ reviews on the web)
A popular day-trip idea from Cancun, Xel-Ha combines water-based entertainment with tours of a historically significant archaeological site. This aquatic theme park, which calls itself a "natural aquarium," contains a section of a Maya settlement probably occupied until the 19th century. Named after the ancient town, the park offers a range of family-oriented activities. Swim with colorful fish, take long strolls through the jungle, ride bikes across the lush landscape once inhabited by the mighty Maya, or enjoy a leisurely river tour. Check the website for additional activities and take advantage of discounts by reserving your tickets in advance. Work out when and for how long to visit Xel-Ha and other Soliman Bay attractions using our handy Soliman Bay vacation planner.

  • The Park is very nice that there is no doubt, however it seemed to us that the activities offered are very poor. There is a zip-line (salpichanga), a trepachanga, and jump into the stone of the value that you can make them in 5 minutes and does not to do so again since they are part of the same route of the river. What more time takes you is to make the journey of the river which takes about 30/45 minutes. In short you can tour the Park in 1 hour, 2 as much, the rest of the day you can devote yourself to eat and relax (anything that you can do in an all inclusive). Vale also clarify that before going to this park we went to Xcaret, which is spectacular and seemed much better than Xel-Ha.
