Iglesia de Santa Rosa de Viterbo, Queretaro

Admire the 18th-century Baroque design of Iglesia de Santa Rosa de Viterbo. The church is dedicated to Saint Rose of Viterbo, known for her miraculous powers, as well as her support of the papacy. Checkerboard details on the facade and large, curving buttresses protrude from the church walls, giving it an unusual exterior. Snap some photos from the plaza and fountain in front, and then head inside to see an abundance of gold details, a magnificent altar lined with golden framed paintings, and many sculptures of religious figures. • That wonderful experience. I visited this church on the recommendation of a queretense of a lifetime and leave amazed. I was fortunate to visit it when it was virtually empty, except for a young girl who played the guitar and singing practicing for any event. Totally recommended to see some unique altarpieces and a different art.

  • Pequeña, por dentromuy bonita. Por fuera luce un poco descuidada.
