  • Humble church compared to others but ask about the history of the church which is very interesting. The plaza in front has little geysers where dogs love to play, nice area, candy stands all around.  more »
  • We continue our devotions by the Franciscan church of the Holy Cross, sitting at the end of a large, rather austere place. The religious building of the 17th century was dedicated to the evangelization of the Aboriginals, but offers little architectural interest. We would have liked to visit the convent next door, but he had to wait for a guided tour. As we are not in need of religious artifacts, we let's turn back.

  • One for necessary in so many places what to visit in the city, is a beautiful place and stories that are wonderful. For my taste, it is a must-see when you reach the center of Querétaro.

  • Nice Temple and awesome parade on May the 3rd when hundreds of people dance on traditional customs. Worth to admire their strength! The crowded street tremble beneath the river of grateful dancers that show their respects to God and to traditions. Remarkable!
  • In the outside is simplr. But inside it is beautiful. Besides there is a museum ex convent from Franciscan order. With a lot of history.
  • Beautiful church! The monastery seemed to only be available to see on guided tours. Best view of the aquaduct a block or so behind the church.
  • Good experience!
  • Apparently the trees inside the fences produce thorns in the shape of the cross. Also a good place to watch sunset.

Where to stay in Queretaro City

Vacations in Queretaro tend to focus almost exclusively on the historic center, with the city's industrialized fringes offering little of interest to tourists. The vast majority of accommodations remain in the city's heart, with the dual-direction Carre Benito Juarez and surrounding streets offering a selection of budget-friendly and boutique hotels. If you're just looking for a place to rest your head before moving on to your next destination, look south to the neighborhood of Las Misiones, or west to La Capilla, where you can find some comfortable roadside hotels.
