La Pena de Bernal, Queretaro City

4.7
#1 of 181 in Parks in Central Mexico and Gulf Coast
La Pena de Bernal ranks as the second largest monoliths in the world, towering over the town and affording views across the countryside. Many people come to hike the rock. If that's your plan, consider setting off early, as the hiking can be difficult in the heat of the day. Be sure to wear strong boots, and bring water, sunblock, and your camera. Grab a bite at the restaurant or bar on your return. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to La Pena de Bernal by using our Queretaro City trip itinerary maker site .

  • Good choice to pueblear one evening, the main attraction is to appreciate the monolith from below walking through the village or upload it and exercise, I was in my car and hence we move to Tequisquiapan Queretaro since if you prefer you can go to the vineyard that so to offer you. I think that all is not wine as both invite you but if you like forward you'll be in very good place to test them. The village has good variety of restaurants and don't forget to take lots of pictures you will like insurance

Where to stay in Queretaro City

Vacations in Queretaro tend to focus almost exclusively on the historic center, with the city's industrialized fringes offering little of interest to tourists. The vast majority of accommodations remain in the city's heart, with the dual-direction Carre Benito Juarez and surrounding streets offering a selection of budget-friendly and boutique hotels. If you're just looking for a place to rest your head before moving on to your next destination, look south to the neighborhood of Las Misiones, or west to La Capilla, where you can find some comfortable roadside hotels.
