Zona Romantica, Puerto Vallarta

4.6
#2 of 8 in Historic Sites in Puerto Vallarta
Stroll through the quaint streets of Zona Romantica, the traditional Mexican part of the old town, packed with shops, art galleries, bookstores, cafes, and restaurants. Smell the aroma of handmade tortillas wafting from streetside taco stands. The oldest farmers’ market in town offers a selection of freshly baked goods, handmade clothing, jewelry, and crafts. See the whole town gather on Friday nights at the recently widened Basilio Badillo Street. Meet local artists and get to know Mexican folklore through shows and games at the park. A colorfully lit wooden pier featuring pedestrian pathways, ample seating, and a waterfront promenade serves as a good place to sit and ruminate after a long stroll. • Gives very good choices to see a good restaurant or a good drink in a bar, called the Vallarta romantic area by is Gay is an area where it is common to see them in couples becoming Cuddles and even seeking couple, if you are homophobic is not a zone where you go to feel comfortable, and definitely it is not a family area unless they are educated in a very open way.

  • Today, Dec 6, 2016, I had a wonderful 4 handed massage from Jesus and Jesus. Afterwards they told me that it was the first time they had ever worked in tandem. This was surprising to me and something I never would have guessed because they were so in sync. If you happen to be on Ampas Street (near the corner of Rodolfo Gomez Street) and see two handsome young men beneath a rainbow flag on a porch with several doors around it, ask for the four-handed massage. You'll be glad you did.
  • This is a quaint little area of the downtown of VALLARTA. Filled with restaurants, little shops and activities.

Where to stay in Puerto Vallarta

The appropriately named Hotel Zone, at the coastal fringe of the city center, serves as one of the most popular areas to stay, with equally good access to the beach and the amenities within the city. Private rentals are particularly popular, with the Hotel Zone and the equally vibrant hub of Emiliano Zapata to the south offering plenty of condominiums to complement the range of budget, mid-range, and luxury hotels. Many of the city's best gay-friendly accommodations are found at the southern fringe of the old town.
