The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Puerto Vallarta

(4.6/5 based on 2,800+ reviews on the web)
An iconic gem of downtown Vallarta’s skyline, The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe offers unrivalled serenity. The relatively new church was not officially completed until 1987 when the front side and lateral towers were finally finished, although its construction began on October 12th 1921, a date still celebrated in the church today. Enjoy a tranquil stroll through the endearing structure, its architecture a patchwork of styles displaying an eclectic mix of neoclassical design, renaissance towers and a wrought iron crown echoing European baroque design. • It's just cool to see all the flags hanging over the streets, bright Mexican colors, flowers and sounds to hear, all with this towering beautiful church at the heart. So cool.
  • Una iglesia muy linda, tradicional y lo más significativo para mi, las puertas abiertas de parte en par.
  • Beautiful church. We went at night and walked the boardwalk when we came upon this. It reminds you that not all places are like the U.S. some have kept their beliefs and the beauty of spirituality.
