Marietas Islands, Puerto Vallarta

Categories: Islands, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3.6/5 based on 1,900+ reviews on the web
Discover the hidden beach at Marietas Islands. Created by scores of government bomb tests, and eventually rescued after Jacques Cousteau brought it to the attention of the world, the now-protected islands teem with diverse marine and bird life, and feature strange rock formations. Snorkel the island's waters for the chance to see manta rays, sea turtles, and dolphins, the navigate your way through a natural tunnel at low tide to visit the secret beach, which is essentially a bomb crater. Be sure to bring some waterproof sunscreen, as the islands offer little in the way of shade. Marietas Islands is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Puerto Vallarta Edition.

  • It is worth thousand times, it is a beautiful place. It is a great tour, it is worth going on a big boat and that includes food, we went with Vallarta By Boat, which is more accessible than the competition and was very sure, but above all fun.

  • Place divine, although slightly complicated the entry due to the shelter in which now is located, consider that is a place that you must know and live the experience of enter to beach hidden. Without a doubt one of my favorite places!
