Los Muertos Pier, Puerto Vallarta

Part of the city's renewal program, Los Muertos Pier was designed by local architect Jose de Jesus Torres Vega and opened in January 2013. From the pier you can catch panoramic harbor views, watch ships roll in, or catch a water taxi to your destination of choice. Jutting out 100 m (328 ft) into the ocean, the pier lights up in vibrant colors at night, creating a nice place for a romantic walk or spot to grab a drink as you watch the sun set. • The colors change constantly. It's so beautiful at night. A quiet place to sit and rest your feet and take in the sites.  more »
  • Nice walk out over the beginning of the ocean. Locals offering boat rides and fresh fish. Awesom pelicans to get a close up look at. The lights are pretty at night.  more »
  • I loved this place, and at night lighting that has does something really attractive to the eye in its contrasts, is also a meeting place for many, and gives opportunity to exchange points of view

  • After Corona for days... found great beers in Puerto Vallarta! Revenge IPA is a must. The seasonal Lupo Lager is great too. Looks like a pretty full bar for all the non beer drinkers. Pizza and burgers look excellent... happy hour is 4pm to 6pm. 30 peso brews!
  • After a few days of drinking typical Mexican lager I was pining for ale so searched out this place and found nothing but ale......and pretty good pizza and wings. I tried the Chile Ale and the IPA and they were good enough to satisfy my jones. This is a pretty busy place, I first walked by it late one morning and it was already bustling for the day. When I went back in the evening for the ale fix it was busier still. No smoking despite it being an open patio and rooftop, but that only costs the joint a star.
  • My favorite place to hang in PV. The beer is ok craft beer but is getting better all the time. Great thin crust pizza. Definitely the place to watch the big game. Hip staff
  • We tried the beer flight, with 4oz pours of seven beers. I personally liked the Chili Ale best but they all were warm. They would have tested great if the were COLD. Too bad.
  • Great atmosphere..Local beers made here at their brewery.. Would like to recommend

Where to stay in Puerto Vallarta

The appropriately named Hotel Zone, at the coastal fringe of the city center, serves as one of the most popular areas to stay, with equally good access to the beach and the amenities within the city. Private rentals are particularly popular, with the Hotel Zone and the equally vibrant hub of Emiliano Zapata to the south offering plenty of condominiums to complement the range of budget, mid-range, and luxury hotels. Many of the city's best gay-friendly accommodations are found at the southern fringe of the old town.
