Laguna de Manialtepec, Puerto Escondido
(4.5/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web)
Explore Laguna de Manialtepec, a scenic coastal lagoon surrounded by lush mangrove trees. The name of the lagoon means "Lizard Place" in the indigenous Nahuatl language. Rent a sailboat, enjoy the picturesque landscape, or take a swim in the lake's mix of fresh and saltwater. Birders should keep their eyes out for numerous permanent and migratory avian species. If you visit at night, you might see the lagoon's famous phosphorescent lights, set aglow by movement. • This is an excellent output! Super recommended. It cost US 250 per person and passed by us to the hotel, took us to, Lake included the boat and return. It is really cool, we were told that 70% was the effect and that there was a bit of moon, yet we were amazed. Seriously don't miss this exit

  • (B) the end of August you can see 100 percent. It was unforgettable: in darkness we sailed a boat ride across the lagoon and then swam, raking hands glowing plankton. The guide said that in addition to this place, this is only in Australia and a bit in s-e Asia.

  • It is a beautiful experience, although it is not as blue light as in the images if you appreciate the effect, we did the tour with Mr. Agustin staff, I recommend it! It is best to get on your own than with agencies, you save $$.
