  • As a local style market if offers what the locals would buy and sell, not the place to come to buy souvenirs. In saying that it kind of lacked variety compared to many central/south or Latin style markets. It's a great place to buy fresh produce, meats, or plenty of dining options. The food price and quality didn't differ to much from anywhere else in the town as one may expect.
  • If you want to eat before you explore you cannot beat the prices in this Mercado. You can buy anything from sandals, regional clothing, gifts, fish, meat, spices, flowers, you name it! Most of the public transportation starts here!
  • The best place to buy fresh groceries, but be careful which stores to buy at if you don't speak Spanish or look like a tourist, as some stores will inflate the prices if they can.
  • So many neat things and beautiful clothing at this market!
  • Colorful, vibrant, full of Life Great organica veggies and fruits. Local handscraft and delicious set menus
