Amparo Museum (Museo Amparo), Puebla
(4.5/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Learn the history of the nation at Amparo Museum (Museo Amparo), a cultural institution with a vast collection of artifacts and artworks. Located across two colonial-era buildings in the town's historic center, the museum traces the country's development through displays dating from 2500 BCE to the modern era. Admire sculptures, altars, and figures, handmade by artisans from each of the country's pre-Columbian civilizations, including Aztecs, Mayans, Totonacs, and Teotihuacans. The museum displays many of its colonial-era pieces in situ, across the rooms of the period houses. Don't miss the formidable Mexican modern art collection. • Excellent collection of pre Columbian artefacts well displayed with very good audio explanation available. The place to go to get a handle on Mexico before the days of Cortes.
  • From the property you das has that the expectation is high. An old house perfectly preserved and amalgamated with the contemporary architecture of glass and steel House different rooms, as well as a dining room in the courtyard and a café - bar on the terrace with an excellent view. Exposures are carefully selected to make your visit worthwhile.

  • Great contemporary art museum in Puebla city, the new building is well designed and the rooftop is a must to have a drink while you enjoy the city line. The exhibitions are very good
  • Its a nice space and building. The artwork was different to what I imagined would be in there but still enjoyable. There was some rooms filled with Mexican history and furniture which was interesting. Some of the contemporary pieces weren't so. The best bit for me was the roof and the views of the City from up there.
  • Great museum, must visit if you're in Puebla
  • beautiful place!
  • Visit the beautiful rooftop with 360 views of the city.
