El Tajin, Papantla
(4.8/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
Explore the ruins of a formidable city at El Tajin, an archaeological complex and World Heritage Site. The well-preserved city was one of the biggest and most culturally important during the Classic era of Mesoamerica. The height of its powers, between 600 and 1200 CE, saw the construction of the majority of the temples, palaces, and pyramids. Admire the artistry of the carvings on the main temple, showcasing decorative techniques unseen in other contemporary cultures in the region. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to El Tajin and many more Papantla attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Papantla tour planner.

  • A place with lots of history. It is worth hiring a guide at the entrance. We collect only the Guide 250 more 65 weights of the input. It's worth the time. You know more than our culture and you feel most proud to be Mexican. Recommended. We left Veracruz travel is long but worth it.

  • To start, you find the archeological from Poza Rica is simple, since this very well above, the difficult is the road full of potholes, bumpers, itinerant traders who cross without care, etc. Already in the archaeological area heat is tremendous so go prepared with water, solar bloqueadr and hat. The Museum is very small, for travel in maximum one hour, the pyramids take much more time. Sunday is free admission.
