  • We paid $200 MXN for a day trip to Misol-Ha and Agua Azul, and it was worth it. We were given 45 minutes to spend at Misol-Ha on the way to Agua Azul, and that’s about all you need to get a nice photo...  more »
  • The waterfall is very near the agua azul waterfalls, the entrance are 20 pesos. This place is practically to admire, since there is no greater thing to do to your around, can you go to the back of the waterfall, take your picture on a stone that is opposite or even get to a cave behind the waterfall they charge you as 60 pesos to enter, just consider what there are people who are high-level and not going to enjoy much, because the absence of oxygen feels inside. Before there are water and food for those who spend a while there.

  • Several local tourist guides told me that here some scenes from the movie predator were filmed. Or Predator if you're average wannabe. All the pictures you see of the place will be short. To get you must pay a fee of $30 USD to the locals. I understand that this amount may vary depending on the date. When you go, take a change of clothes; It doesn't matter if you get to swim or not; but this waterfall has the distinction that you can know it from behind. If you do, the water will splash and leave you soaked. For obvious reasons, also take shoes that can get wet and at the same time is non-skid (eye: does not apply the classic houndstooth flip-flops), look for him. There are always options. You can get to swim, and the water is relatively clean. In place you can sell some people drink or food. It is a visit that you can complete in an hour. If you're driving, make sure that your car is in good condition, because it is an area full of bends and ups and downs, so it also handles with caution. It is truly breathtaking scenery that you will see in the area.

Where to stay in Palenque

Most travelers visit Palenque to explore the adjacent Mayan ruins, so most accommodations sit close to the archaeological site. If you choose to stay there, you'll be surrounded by jungle, so bring appropriate clothing and insect repellent, and prepare to pay a bit more for food and drink at the restaurant attached to your digs. If the conveniences of modern society appeal more to you, opt for the city center, or look for rooms in the adjoining neighborhoods of Santa Cruz or La Canada.
