  • The comments that led me to visit these waterfalls fall short before the beauty of the place, is a place that has very little open to the public but the people of the community is working to make it more comfortable. The water is 100% Crystal and this rich. Without a doubt recommend support guides to avoid accidents as some parts are complicated to pass. It is a familiar place however I suggest go on the ride to children older than 10 years, for those who like it is also the path to make it walk. The cost is very economical and before there are some shops and homes where they sell food.

  • It has little of open this cascade to the public, is a jewel of nature, crystal clear water makes a delight for those who only visit by sight or those who enjoy it swimming, walking or doing picnic. Wonderful place

  • This is my kind of place! We had a rented car so we drove (about an hour from Palenque). My husband, kids, and I love to swim in rivers and waterfalls so this place was perfect for us. Five levels of ...  more »

  • Was I heard the best waterfall around Palenque. It's beautiful without a guide. But with a guide they will show you the underwater cave, places where you can jump up to 5 meters and where you can slide down the falls with a plastic bottle. You get here with a collectivo from the market, gringo price is 50 pesos. Takes about 45 minutes. Entrance is 20 pesos. At 5 a lot of colletivos show up to take you back. Otherwise hitchhike to the highway and then get to town from there with a colletivo.
  • Just marvelous :)
  • The waterfalls, beautiful and pleasant place. The problem was the only place in all my visits to Chiapas, that feels soapy waters and areas already with (cream) from pollution, insurance are downloaded drainages and that will have consequences of health and all its tourism, also before, feels a great deforestation in the area. It is a pity!

Where to stay in Palenque

Most travelers visit Palenque to explore the adjacent Mayan ruins, so most accommodations sit close to the archaeological site. If you choose to stay there, you'll be surrounded by jungle, so bring appropriate clothing and insect repellent, and prepare to pay a bit more for food and drink at the restaurant attached to your digs. If the conveniences of modern society appeal more to you, opt for the city center, or look for rooms in the adjoining neighborhoods of Santa Cruz or La Canada.
