The water is 100% Crystal and this rich. Without a doubt recommend support guides to avoid accidents as some parts are complicated to pass. It is a familiar place however I suggest go on the ride to children older than 10 years, for those who like it is also the path to make it walk. The cost is very economical and before there are some shops and homes where they sell food.

Wonderful place
This is my kind of place! We had a rented car so we drove (about an hour from Palenque). My husband, kids, and I love to swim in rivers and waterfalls so this place was perfect for us. Five levels of ... more »
Was I heard the best waterfall around Palenque. It's beautiful without a guide. But with a guide they will show you the underwater cave, places where you can jump up to 5 meters and where you can slide down the falls with a plastic bottle. You get here with a collectivo from the market, gringo price is 50 pesos. Takes about 45 minutes. Entrance is 20 pesos. At 5 a lot of colletivos show up to take you back. Otherwise hitchhike to the highway and then get to town from there with a colletivo.
Just marvelous :)
The waterfalls, beautiful and pleasant place. The problem was the only place in all my visits to Chiapas, that feels soapy waters and areas already with (cream) from pollution, insurance are downloaded drainages and that will have consequences of health and all its tourism, also before, feels a great deforestation in the area. It is a pity!
I great place a great choice if you dizzy to go to Cascades of water blue, advisable to carry food and supplies because there is no where you can sell, there are Lords who support as guides has recommended cost already is in the jungle, and then there are snakes and animale s, they already know the land, but the place to be magnificent.
Incredible place is experienced the most nature. There food

Where to stay in Palenque
Most travelers visit Palenque to explore the adjacent Mayan ruins, so most accommodations sit close to the archaeological site. If you choose to stay there, you'll be surrounded by jungle, so bring appropriate clothing and insect repellent, and prepare to pay a bit more for food and drink at the restaurant attached to your digs. If the conveniences of modern society appeal more to you, opt for the city center, or look for rooms in the adjoining neighborhoods of Santa Cruz or La Canada.
