  • I have only visited Benito Juárez and I've been able to go a couple of times. It is a place that I really like. There are two ways to get, one is crossing Teotitlan del Valle, taking advantage of to go to breakfast to its market city, very clean and with lots of interesting things to buy and eat, food cheap and tasty. And then continue the trip climbing the mountain by dirt in very bues State, although them cars compact suffer a little to arrive, approximately in 40 minutes to Benito Juarez. The other via is by asphalt road, on the side of the North exit from Tlacolula to Cuajimoloyas, on the road one is deviating to Benito Juárez, is less dirt and weather is more or less similar, a little less on this side. Clear that it is less abuse for truck, is another view. The first I liked more. Benito Juárez many things there is what to do, one could stay in a cabin, walk, bicycle, running, riding and alternate activities or you can go only to the viewpoint (I've done two times) and make Tyrolean, take pictures, walk and enjoy the scenery, use the prefabricated stoves that there is there above (only one available) or take himself and throw meat to Grill at the top of the mountain (then pick up their waste turn off your fire, etc. and go home). You can go alone, in couple or with family, the atmosphere is very relaxed, family, and when going in low season you can enjoy the calm sound of the mountain, a spectacular view and even cold air and the smell of the pine-oak forest, which is the predominant vegetation type. It's definitely one of my favorite places.
