  • Of course this is at first the House where Benito Juarez, one of the most admirable people from the Mexican history, spent his youth. He is right across the country and far beyond with much respect. He is one of the few historical figures in Mexico with a perfectly flawless reputation. That is why this House a kind of pilgrimage site. But it's also instructive place to get an insight into the way of life of the lower middle class in the Oaxaca of the turbulent first half of the 19th century, just after the bloody war of independence. The property is beautifully restored with great respect for the original. A must see for anyone with an interest in history, and for all admirers of a great man as Benito Juarez.
