(4.8/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web)
A central pedestrian street, Andador de Macedonia Alcala features a lively atmosphere and exhibits the true culture of the city. Traditional well-preserved colonial buildings line the street, displaying a pleasant mix of soft pastel colors. As you walk along, you'll find many restaurants, coffeehouses, museums, and numerous churches-- including the big stone wall of Santa Domingo. Buy a colorful papel de amate (bark paper) painting from one of the street vendors or listen while a group of musicians perform nearby. • Great place to walk and take a tour, enjoying its shops and restaurants. Although I must mention them have also been restoring other streets in the historic centre, where shops and restaurants can be found, and also the streets are very clean and spacious sidewalks, with small benches from cement that one can sit awhile and enjoy the picturesque Centre. All the wiring is hidden and the floors and sidewalks of good quality
