  • The museum itself is beautiful because of its architecture, and exhibits are incredible. The works are very well put in values and most of the explanatory texts are translated into English. The Museum Shop is also worth the visit. Admission to the Museum is free, but you can make a donation to the exit.

  • It's a lot smaller than what I thought it would be with all the textiles in the region A beautiful building and some nice examples and photos of the materials.
  • Nice small museum and space. Must see when visiting. Admission is free.
  • Beautiful space and pieces. Lovely and inspiring visit!
  • Great little free museum, with interactive stuff for kids.
  • Everything it's very expensive there..

Where to stay in Oaxaca

Oaxaca's size and diversity make it an especially good place to find budget-friendly accommodations, in particular youth hostels and family-run "posadas." These affordable options, along with mid-range and boutique hotels, line the cozy streets of Oaxaca's historic center, probably the most convenient area in the city. You can also find a decent range of options just north of the center, in the neighborhoods of La Paz and Guelaguetza.
