  • Amazing place, which starts with a native architecture adapted to the arrival of visits, hits the room with a dark caress of black mud, poems that transmits the emocianalidad only the routine can engender. A place to learn and feel.

  • Only 30 minutes drive from Oaxaca Center you will find the village of San Bartolo Coyotepec. Cradle of gold with black mud, which is unique in the region. There are demonstrations of how this work is done in the workshop of Doña Rosa, the variety of parts in models and forms is immense. The completely affordable prices. Do not leave Oaxaca without a piece of black clay.

  • All products that are sold in the store are made by the family of Mrs. Rosa Real, creator of the glossy black clay we know that since ancient times clay pieces were produced but not bright, what she found was the brightness. In the store does not sell it in other places since they sell there the only thing, "shine that brings the stone that smooth," in many other places they occupy painting as the shoes coloring of the piece black and thus save time and money so to produce parts, what is being done there is quality. The prices are very affordable for all in comparison to what is sold in other places in the city that a piece is between 500 - 1000 pesos and at the place where it is originally this between 25 and 500 pesos. It should be remembered that the crafts look like artifacts that must be sold economically but do not value behind that piece there is more work that in many things, more when it comes to people who give a manual and original work, we must not cheapen things why behind them there is a lot of work. Clearly, it is a place that has plenty of room for large groups and small, boasts a garden with chairs to relax awhile after a long day of knowing this beautiful state.

Where to stay in Oaxaca

Oaxaca's size and diversity make it an especially good place to find budget-friendly accommodations, in particular youth hostels and family-run "posadas." These affordable options, along with mid-range and boutique hotels, line the cozy streets of Oaxaca's historic center, probably the most convenient area in the city. You can also find a decent range of options just north of the center, in the neighborhoods of La Paz and Guelaguetza.
