  • If you are thinking of some nice and natural economic destination this can be. A great destination... most of the lodging is offered are cabins on the beach... If you are looking for a beach to swim and few waves perhaps in this place can not be much Beach here is more to surf... BUT nearby there is a river that sticks with the sea where you can swim... is a unique experience are very closely with nature the majority of tourism are been unidences and European...! attention! It speaks of insecurity in the area won't lie in what are the nearby villages if you see something suspicious people but... do not say you anything if not already do anything improper that the livelihood of the region is tourism... The food is very good you can find from very regional dishes to shrimp and fish burgers I recommend

  • just spent two weeks checking out all the Pacific beaches. most don't have spa or 5 star resorts. just nice place to relax or surf. but beware most beaches in michoacan have strong riptide currents. N...  more »
  • The location is excellent for highly Athletic swimmers and surfers. A professional Bodyboarder leads the Cabañas Mar de Noche, by the way. The food there was great as well in the other restaurants. Unfortunately they were booked in the week before Easter and I ended up at the Rio Nexpa rooms, where an Italian woman with a very friendly cat welcomed me. There I spent a restful nights. For families with children, this beach is unusable. I had to go with my humble bodyboard skills after El Zapote UNO, La Soledad, or Chiquiapan. I spent a week in La Ticla. Also this beach is not suitable for families with children (as steeply sloping and partly stones in it) and it is better off in San Juan de Alima or La Placita. Unfortunately, no other room was more free, so I had to drive only 15 minutes there. I would visit this second area but at any time, because the harassment by Phlebotomus Papatasi mosquitoes or Jejen was very low (in many places an annoying problem)
