Pueblo de Santiago, Monterrey

Wander the centuries-old cobblestoned streets of Pueblo de Santiago, a quiet colonial village near Monterrey. Admire the charming colonial-era architecture, and get some authentic Mexican cuisine in one of the local restaurants. Climb the hill behind the church to look out over the rooftops and pretty surroundings. In spite of its sleepy pace, the town's proximity to a national park draws crowds for extreme sports and hiking, with many scenic trails to choose from. • I liked the magical town of Santiago, very neat Church and its square, restaurants good, nice and cheap, and next to the House of culture very rich Nieves, sold some also has a lookout at the top overlooking a Lake you have to walk very steep slopes but you can enjoy the view, to visit family weekend, they have market crafts on one side of the Church.

  • Very nice and calm, lots of restaurants and drinks. Some weekends expositions and shows take place here. Very good place to explore near Monterrey.  more »
  • Villa de Santiago is a pretty nice magical village. That Yes, I continue being with the best magical people I've ever met so far: my beautiful magical city of San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. Villa de Santiago is a good place that lends itself perfect to go walking and enjoy the views of the sierra from a restaurant or cafeteria. I'd like to have found typical craftsmanship of the place more and more options in restaurants.
