Parque Fundidora, Monterrey

Nature / Park Must See
Situated in the heart of Monterrey, Parque Fundidora offers visitors 140 hectares (345 acres) of recreation space. The park occupies the former site of the bankrupted Monterrey Foundry--several old foundry buildings, including the blast furnace and chimney, remain on the grounds. Jog, cycle, or skate around the park, have a picnic next to the artificial lake, or take the kids to the Sesame Street-themed park. Numerous pedestrian walkways allow you to take relaxing strolls, while the ice rink, sports arena, and the arts center provide entertainment. It's a familiar super place! There are several activities for fun. And tmb to relax. They have to stroll in the artificial river that is worthwhile. And several museums around. How to go a full day.

Excellent place for skating or biking. The Park is beautiful, a nice place to spend an afternoon family or with friends. If it is worth visiting it!

Beautiful! Been to New York's Central Park but we loved this park even more for the kids. Love the beautiful river and it's landscape, the modern architecture surrounding, the various park spots and activities/museums, food snack spots, the hidden area with shopping boutiques and eateries. Took off 1star only because no pets are allowed.

Love this park! Would be even better if one could bring dogs. But I can understand why they don't want to, it's very clean and super nice! People here are a bit more careless when it comes to cleaning up after their dog. A park like this in Sweden would totally be open for dog owners. It all comes down to responsibility and knowledge. But a must visit if coming to Monterrey!

Wear something light during summer and wear a hat, it is going to be hot. A great place to enjoy with the family, friends, etc. You can rent a bike and ride in their long paths.

Great green area that mixes perfect percents between green and asphalt, ideal for jogging, running, yoga, bicycle, skating and many other outdoor activities, as simple as hanging out with friends or having a slow romantic walk with your girl. The place has also an ice skate indoors park, bike rental, and several kiosks where you can buy drinks and snacks. A very important part of the Monterrey's industry history.
