I've been more than one year going to climb the sidewalk Florida and return walking along the sidewalk in Chile. It is an incredible atmosphere and you can detach yourself from reality a little. Without the noise of the city, only the sound of the birds and leaves, or desire to give you putting on headphones to listen to your music. If you're lucky, you possibly can you find deer and animals as coatis (all harmless).

A very beautiful park for lovers of nature, and ideal for exercise and enjoy the scenery, that eye is only very tired, I almost never can I upload from the part down, less with my as young children, by what I prefer pay up to the plateau and I am under a 2 trails before reaching the top so we walked and we see some animals and enjoy the ride up. Beautiful to take photos and get tired children. I recommend go it more early possible since arriving midday, the temperature is very high, or go in the days of cold is the best.

Chipinque is a traditional Park for its views and easy access, in the heart of San Pedro can go long as you want while doing other things. They have trails of all types, available for all people and for all intensity levels.

This place is so beautiful and it's a blissing for Monterrey. Not so common to find surviving flora and fauna roaming freely at this proximity from big cities. The human intervention is so excessive. I am arguing because nature should be perserved rather than establishing fancy admin. office, restaurants, huge billboards, kids playgrounds, prolonged stairs, barriers made of cabels, emissions from staff vehicles, using paper maps, etc.. in which I believe it opposes the idea of conserving the ecosystem of Chipinqui. In Addition to that, personnel and rangers weren't welcoming. Instead of listening to my visit motives, evaluating conditions, and briefing about the place's hazards and possible situations... they just impeded me from doing my main goal, get to one of the peaks (arrived at 10:30am), justifying it as standard regulation of having a guide or lacking the necessary time to go up and come back.

This park has amazing views and an abundance of trails. It is rightfully popular; no matter what time of day I go, there are always cars and bicyclists going in and coming out. (I live in walking distance, so I walk up to the park often.) There is a privately run hotel on the premises, as well as places to buy snacks. The only thing I don't like is that they charge admission even if you are just a pedestrian; I'm used to parks only charging for vehicular entry. Perhaps that's justified by maintenance costs.

Beautiful views of the city. Different animals roaming around free. It's just wonderful. Perfect place for hiking and trail trekking.

Great hiking right next to the city. There are some amazing looking summit trails within the park as well, but make sure to get the permit beforehand, and start your ascent before 8am (I think that was the cutoff time, but check with the office to make sure). If you want to get a permit, knowing Spanish will help a lot, although the permit office ended up being helpful despite my lack of Spanish knowledge.
