Grutas de Garcia, Monterrey

4.6
Head into Grutas de Garcia, an otherworldly system of caves dating back some 50-60 million years. The large chambers were first discovered in 1843 by a priest walking up the El Fraile mountain. Up until then, they had remained hidden in a limestone mountain, and submersion in seawater during the prehistoric era has left a wealth of marine fossils on the cave walls. Reach the caves by a five-minute ride on an aerial tramway; or, if you're feeling particularly energetic, consider taking the steep path up to the entrance. Visit them on Sunday early tickets go for groups (we had the third) you call loudly when it is the turn of your group, well organized, very clean place, friendly staff, when we had our turn climbed quickly to the funicular quiet trip lasts around a minute and medium, on arrival at the Grotto were welcomed by a guide , that guided us during the tour explaining and repeating since by the narrow, some took to reach each stage, to the term can remain a little more on the outside of the cave to take pictures and then you forms back, which was very fast. We had a fairly clean restrooms and visit the small museum where is wide information and simulate some of the formations in the cave. leaving already had enough people waiting turn to enter. Plus have palapas where you can sit and drink in what becomes your turn without being formed all the time

An experience very pleasant and full of adrenaline, climb the mountain on the cable car and entering the caves with guides that give you a good explanation.
