Get up close and personal with exotic creatures from around the world at Zoologico de Vallarta. Different from most zoos thanks to its policy of allowing visitors to pet and feed most of the animals, the zoo offers an experience most family members, especially children, will love. You can pay extra to hold and play with lion and tiger cubs, then roam through the zoo to find plenty of other exotic creatures on display. Don’t forget your camera, and remember to bring plenty of bug spray. Zoologico de Vallarta Reviews
Had a great visit to the PV zoo today- ending with a one-on-one visit with a panther and jaguar - each a baby. While this latter experience was costly it meant the world to my daughter more »
Cute animals, kind employees, fun experience. Holding baby animals is fun, and feeding the bunnies is really exciting. Lots of hostile ducks and a couple geese, but luckily they don’t follow you far. ... more »
Trip to the zoo was awesome. The best part was interacting with Cubs. We got the hold baby tiger, puma and panther. It was so cool. They are so beautiful. The rest of the zoo was nice too, a little sm... more »
This zoo is very different then visiting an American zoo. It is easier to get a closer view and up close with the animals. It may seem that it is not up to standard, but the animals appear healthy and have spacious living areas and I could see no mistreatment. The best part is being able to play with lion cubs if available.
YOU GET TO PET BABY TIGERS!!! for a small fee of course. The place was very well kept, but some of the animals looked really sad. I think it’s b/c they take in “bad animals” and have to keep them segregated. Overall great and fun. Will go back for sure.
Good place to visit. Take the ride on horseback on your way to the zoo, cheap and unique. Make sure you buy the bag of food to feed the animals, it makes the experience extra fun. Interaction with the animals at the end is worth the money.
Great place - kids absolutely loved it. Lots of interaction with the animals. You can feed the animals with food they provide for 50 pesos ($3). In regards to all the Americans complaining about how cruel this place is due to the size of the exhibits. What did you expect? This is Mexico, not some busy American zoo. There's simply not enough $$ to make larger exhibits for you feel better about having the animals caged in. If you don't like it then kindly donate so they can make improvements.
Animals are not well fed. Easy walk for us since we are young, but elderly or anyone with strollers or wheel chairs be warned this zoo has some inclines that make it a workout. Yes you can feed the animals for a cheap fee, but the again the animals are lacking in care. Not like your zoos in the United States. Wish there was someone we could report zoo's too as these animals all appear depressed. I've visited over 20 zoos in various states and have not found one such as this that the animals are in poor condition. There are no distractions for animals, stagnant water and food, fleas, rude front desk manager as people discussed. Dont waste your time visiting.
