Zona Rosa, Mexico City

(2.8/5 based on 460 reviews on the web)
An LGBT-friendly and busy neighborhood Zona Rosa is known for its nightlife, shopping, cafes, neoclassical architecture, and a vibrant Korean community. This diverse area filled with a mix of gay clubs, bars, restaurants, and erotic shops attracts a mostly young and sexually liberated crowd. The area features a pedestrian walkway lined with lush trees and numerous bronze public sculptures. Artists present and sell their work on the street. The neighborhood offers many eateries, food stands, and cantinas, as well as outdoor bars. Be aware that some of the nightclubs have a reputation for illegal business, such as gambling and prostitution. • Extension of the Zocalo atmosphere. It was like few places just look as a tourist destination compared to the Zocalo. Walking in the crafts market and why there are many discoveries.

  • Great shops.. great restaurants... action and lots of tourists... Watch out for the local beggars and street people. I just love this area though!  more »
  • Its heyday was in the 60´s. has declined, but some sites remain impassive as restaurants, galleries and bars.
