Ripley's museum, Mexico City

3.6
Bizarre and entertaining, Ripley's museum opened in 1992 as the first of venue of its kind in Latin America. See the famous spinning tunnel or walk around the 14 exhibit rooms to see a Mona Lisa made from pieces of toast, a chunk of the Berlin Wall, and numerous other items that range from Mexican tribal artifacts to celebrity wax figures. • It's perfect to go with whoever you want, whether family or not.
  • Great fun and good value for money!
  • Fun place to see how the presidents of Mexico look like. The rest is quite interesting as it shows different people that contributed to Mexico's history.
  • Not a very big place but very fun. Spent about and hour and a half here in-between other plans.
  • Nice place. Nothing special. More fun for kids.

Where to stay in Mexico City

Head straight to the trendy neighborhoods of Roma or La Condesa if you're looking for an artsy atmosphere--you can find design-conscious hostels and boutique hotels nestled among the many bars, restaurants, cafes, and galleries. For easy access to the city's most beautiful architecture, you can't beat staying in the historical center, although the neighborhood's UNESCO-listing means you'll only find smaller, old-fashioned options there. You can also indulge in a few luxury nights in the fancy Polanco district, or look for a more budget-friendly option in the popular Zona Rosa.
