The desert of the Lions, that of desert has nothing, is a very pleasant ride for you spend 1 or 2 hours of hiking. Is a 20 min drive from CMX and it is a park in the middle of a forest, with a convent of incredible architecture and facilities that make you remember those medieval movies. A place that spends an absurd peace, you walk the whole time to the sound of birds and the breathing look much neater than Mexico City. In addition to the convent, there are some very interesting trails to make walking, running, biking, etc. Worth knowing and to get away from the madness and the noise of CMX.

It is a natural attraction without incredible things, but near the cdmx. So you must go if you know to appreciate the importance of a calm place and with a pure air close to the great metropolis. The architectural complex is nice although they say it is better when becomes the festival of legends at night. It's ask for this event to plan your visit.

Where to stay in Mexico City

Head straight to the trendy neighborhoods of Roma or La Condesa if you're looking for an artsy atmosphere--you can find design-conscious hostels and boutique hotels nestled among the many bars, restaurants, cafes, and galleries. For easy access to the city's most beautiful architecture, you can't beat staying in the historical center, although the neighborhood's UNESCO-listing means you'll only find smaller, old-fashioned options there. You can also indulge in a few luxury nights in the fancy Polanco district, or look for a more budget-friendly option in the popular Zona Rosa.
