The building is a colonial convent that it is very nice itself and is the house of the museum. The exhibitions at the museum are very poor and it look like leftovers of other museum. Do not value the ...  more »

To start the quarter is beautiful, the Franciscan church in adjacent to the Museum, beautiful, the attention of the security personnel of the Museum always very friendly. The rooms of the Museum with an excellent explanation of different interventions. Definitely a place to visit in the neighborhood of Coyoacan

Very nice the ex-convent and much information in your content! Highly recommended and very educational, with orchards and beautiful gardens!

Very nice museum. But don't let valuables in the checked bags. Some money disappeared from my wallet, which I forgot in the bag.

This museum it's an amazing place full of history and Information about the battles and victories of Mexico. The architecture of this building is awesome, you'll feel like you're living in the past, definitely you have to visit this place.

México has had many foreign interventions, this place cover these events superficially but it's an eye opening to many. To me it was interesting to see a photo of black US soldiers from 1914 fighting on a segregated army in Mexico!

Beautiful, labyrinthine space. Captivating fresco remnants and lovely garden. The staff can be a bit aggressive. Very popular on Sundays.

Where to stay in Mexico City

Head straight to the trendy neighborhoods of Roma or La Condesa if you're looking for an artsy atmosphere--you can find design-conscious hostels and boutique hotels nestled among the many bars, restaurants, cafes, and galleries. For easy access to the city's most beautiful architecture, you can't beat staying in the historical center, although the neighborhood's UNESCO-listing means you'll only find smaller, old-fashioned options there. You can also indulge in a few luxury nights in the fancy Polanco district, or look for a more budget-friendly option in the popular Zona Rosa.
