Explore Museo Dolores Olmedo Patino, set in the beautiful 16th century hacienda of Delores Olmedo, a socialite and artist who opened her home and extensive art collection to the public in 1994. Enjoy priceless collections by Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and Olmedo herself, contained within this five-building complex. Stroll in the exquisite grounds, as roaming peacocks show off their fanned tails, and native Mexican hairless dogs, or Xoloitzcuintles, enjoy the sun. • Beautiful! The garden is splendid with peacocks everywhere. The art collection is good but depends on your taste in the matter. There's even a little coffee shop closed to the house. Not that cheap for foreigners and being able to take photos inside cost an extra. But overall a good value.
  • One of my favorite spots of the city, it is a must if you consider yourself as a fan of Diego and Frida. Beautiful garden with peacocks and xolos... Mexican dogs. At the end you will find an exhibition of handcraft of all around Mexico, really well selected pieces.
  • Dolores Olmedo is a great Museum to know Rivera and Kahlo's work and many more details about Dolores Olmedo and her life. Beautiful place.
  • What a delightful little compound...a beautiful setting of animals (peacock birds and black, hairless, buckterth dogs) combined with artwork and a cute little restaurant. I can confirm the beer is both cold and delish...the food is solid good also. I learned quite a bit about Diego, Olmegas, and Frida. Informative and a nice surprise.
  • Good place to go in Xochimilco. Olmedo's importance to Diego and Frida's story is visible throughout the visitation, as well as her role in Mexican art preservation.
