It is small but very complete, they are 5 rooms with a variety of instruments and gadgets that make it the twisted thing may be the man. The explanations are clear and short, with enough information to leave no doubts. I would recommend that if you are with children, these will not alone through the rooms because they can not understand what they see or they can frighten. If accompanied by an adult can make the visit more interesting but always doing the reflection of the evil that is to be intolerant. Very advisable, large and small, but it is better learn not to repeat those forms of abuse the neighbor again.

Visit the Palacio de Mineria we even saw the little Museum of torture that mainly exposes European torture tools ranging from the 14th to the 19th century. Only one grisly curiosity. Entrance costs MXN 40 and is open every day from 10 to 18.

You may not use cameras, truth the Museum has lots of good information so if you really want to learn you have to go with time, I do not recommend it if it is your first time in CDMX for the same reason, is very close to the historic centre. If you expect to see some of the instruments of torture, it is the right place. What I liked most was that they explain that the purpose of the Museum, which is the awareness on the issue of torture and all its negative aspects.

Very nice museum and theme. Well worth the entrance fee. But they do not allow photography; probably because they don't want people posing with, and potentially damaging, the exhibits. Exhibit descriptions are translated to English.

Where to stay in Mexico City

Head straight to the trendy neighborhoods of Roma or La Condesa if you're looking for an artsy atmosphere--you can find design-conscious hostels and boutique hotels nestled among the many bars, restaurants, cafes, and galleries. For easy access to the city's most beautiful architecture, you can't beat staying in the historical center, although the neighborhood's UNESCO-listing means you'll only find smaller, old-fashioned options there. You can also indulge in a few luxury nights in the fancy Polanco district, or look for a more budget-friendly option in the popular Zona Rosa.
