Museo de Cera de la Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico City

4.3
Come and say hello to a number of international and Mexican celebrities at Museo de Cera de la Ciudad de Mexico, a waxwork museum. Entertaining for big kids and little ones, the museum displays its carefully sculpted figures in themed environments, making taking photos with the stars immersive and fun. You may not be able to convince many people back home that you happened to run into the Dalai Lama during your holiday, but it's worth a shot. Make sure to head to the horror movie section down in the basement. Some of the wax figures were incredibly realistic while others were really fake. They need to get the same artist to work on the figures.

I can say I at least went once in my life. It was ok it you need to kill time. The admission was about 100 pesos so I can't complain. Next time I'll hold out for Madam Toussaud

Its a must if you are knowing the city. But on holidays its super crowded they should have a control of how many people will enter in order to guarantee the experience. The tickets are cheap

Where to stay in Mexico City

Head straight to the trendy neighborhoods of Roma or La Condesa if you're looking for an artsy atmosphere--you can find design-conscious hostels and boutique hotels nestled among the many bars, restaurants, cafes, and galleries. For easy access to the city's most beautiful architecture, you can't beat staying in the historical center, although the neighborhood's UNESCO-listing means you'll only find smaller, old-fashioned options there. You can also indulge in a few luxury nights in the fancy Polanco district, or look for a more budget-friendly option in the popular Zona Rosa.
