#13 of 115 in Museums in Mexico City
Come and say hello to a number of international and Mexican celebrities at Museo de Cera de la Ciudad de Mexico, a waxwork museum. Entertaining for big kids and little ones, the museum displays its carefully sculpted figures in themed environments, making taking photos with the stars immersive and fun. You may not be able to convince many people back home that you happened to run into the Dalai Lama during your holiday, but it's worth a shot. Make sure to head to the horror movie section down in the basement. • Can’t really say it was amazing since I haven’t been to another Wax Museum. However, I was not disappointed at all. There is also a Ripley’s believe it or not, and some simulated rides on the same com...  more »
  • I went to the Museum of wax without much expectation was not something that call me much attention, but turned out to be much better than expected, you start the tour and you topas with Donald Trump and that cause you many graces that have to trump there mexico , almost the majority of the figures are very similar, the terror is the best the exorsista scare is great, super recommended the place, worth 125 pesos.

  • Did the 3 attractions and spend around 2 hours. Our daughter 5 years like it, and we make a lot of fun pictures. Was not too busy for a Saturday so we really enjoy.  more »

  • Nice place, but with too many local stars for my taste. Nevertheless it has a lot to see and it is different from other Wax Museums that I average visited until now. Don't miss to take your hand or hands in case of a couple made of Wax as a souvenir from the shop! The price is definitely worth to pay!
  • Excellent wax statues. Lots of them available, from famous filmmakers and sports people to tech figures and Mexican and US presidents. Wax figures have a much better quality than those at Hollywood's Wax Museum. Bonus: you can get you hands shaped in wax as a cool souvenir.
  • Loved the place although I am much older! Museum is well divided into sections and has wax statues to interest all age groups. There is a shortcut in the basement in order to bypass the more scary pieces. Good place for a family outing
  • Short interesting museum. There is something for mostly everybody. Arrive early and enjoy the rest of the day downtown.
  • This was my first time at a wax museum and I enjoyed I far more than I thought it would! There is a horror area in the basement that is fantastic, and a fun mirror room to boot.
