Museo de Cera de la Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico City

4.3
Come and say hello to a number of international and Mexican celebrities at Museo de Cera de la Ciudad de Mexico, a waxwork museum. Entertaining for big kids and little ones, the museum displays its carefully sculpted figures in themed environments, making taking photos with the stars immersive and fun. You may not be able to convince many people back home that you happened to run into the Dalai Lama during your holiday, but it's worth a shot. Make sure to head to the horror movie section down in the basement. • Spectacular work, the level of detail, the atmosphere of each celebrity. The best 10 out of 10 rating.

  • It wasn't what I expected, the major part of the exhibition are stars of Televisa, as such Victor which doesn't even have a career indicating its presence at the Museum. I do not recommend it should be only for those who really bring culture, knowledge, career etc.. Not worth paying 250 for 20-minute where all wax figures are tight without space pass spectators or to take a photo.

  • It is very sad to come to this place, I think that after seeing great places wax figures, entering this place gives very sorry, 80% figures are bad, the Beatles for example, which are the icons in the museums of the world wax , FOR NOTHING WILL SEEM TO... Really do not lose your time to see something that is not worth nothing...

  • Lots of fun. Good price. Enjoy it for what it is and you will have a great time.
  • Brilliant fun, lots of celebs, cartoon characters and the horror section in the basement is brilliant. Jumped several times :) good value for money and you can bundle in Ripley's believe it or not. Fun for all ages
  • Funny place to meet as many mexican celebrities as you wish, no matter if they're alive of not. Some are foreign celebrities, and others fantastic. Sometimes it's shocking and most people enjoy comparing themselves with this full size statues.
  • Tourist and my hometown I loved the prices and the mini haunted house before the exit everything looks so detailed and on point !!! 10/10 would go again I would also recommend getting your own "handmade wax hand" at the exit !!!
  • Batman, the pope, the chief, Robert senior, Chabelo, pitbull... all the crew is here. I would post more pictures, but you have to go see it yourself. It's next to Ripley's believe it or not museum also. Fun fun fun

Where to stay in Mexico City

Head straight to the trendy neighborhoods of Roma or La Condesa if you're looking for an artsy atmosphere--you can find design-conscious hostels and boutique hotels nestled among the many bars, restaurants, cafes, and galleries. For easy access to the city's most beautiful architecture, you can't beat staying in the historical center, although the neighborhood's UNESCO-listing means you'll only find smaller, old-fashioned options there. You can also indulge in a few luxury nights in the fancy Polanco district, or look for a more budget-friendly option in the popular Zona Rosa.
