  • I was one of the last days of my trip and I found beautiful local crafts, as well as other types of memorabilia from keyrings, clothes, etc. Walk about 10 blocks from the Museum of Frida Kahlo.

  • Of the best markets in the country I have visited. People are very respectful and outperforms any place in food. It is very clean and toast are the best. The visit is a must.

  • Visit the coyoacan market with 3 people, a Spanish and 2 English, wanted to spend weights which had some sweet or memories of Mexico, we stopped at the LOCAL 12, where they sell candy. Our surprise was great when asking prices (products were labeled none price) told us different prices, depending on who asks. The English child asked for a bag of paddles and first told him $65 and then $80, these are very high prices. When you tell them, they told us that if we didn't we were to buy elsewhere. Market is very nice and cute things can be found, but prices rise them much.

  • I loved this place. This is super busy market with tons of people. There are hundreds of street vendors selling everything I can possibly imagine. The street shows are pretty good too. I enjoyed the food in the market. This place is full of people, so it is a good place for people watching. The church is also very beautiful. I loved this place.
  • Amazing market that is a treat to your senses. Colors, flavors, smells and textures. It's all there and all at the same time. Buy some magic spell candles or evil cursing powders. Have lunch in the food stands and buy cheap clothes for your not-so-loved-ones. Mi Mercado is a great experience that you can't skip on your trip to Mexico city.
  • Great picturesque market with the season's most representative knickknacks of Mexican culture. Good eats, as well. The prices, however, are according to the idea that they're selling the view as much as the product.
  • Excellente and BEAUTIFUL PLACE. Just be careful with your purse. Specially if you sit to eat. Evel people use their small children (less that 6years) to snick bags😠👎
  • A great variety of fruits and candies! Also a source for souvenirs. Crowded though. Food is good as well and affordable!

Where to stay in Mexico City

Head straight to the trendy neighborhoods of Roma or La Condesa if you're looking for an artsy atmosphere--you can find design-conscious hostels and boutique hotels nestled among the many bars, restaurants, cafes, and galleries. For easy access to the city's most beautiful architecture, you can't beat staying in the historical center, although the neighborhood's UNESCO-listing means you'll only find smaller, old-fashioned options there. You can also indulge in a few luxury nights in the fancy Polanco district, or look for a more budget-friendly option in the popular Zona Rosa.
