This church currently located in the Avenida Pino Suárez is located in the place where is yield the historic meeting between the Aztec Emperor Moctezuma and Hernán Cortés (exterior there is a reproduction in mosaic containing scenes of this event); He is considered that due to the landmark of the place was chosen by Hernán Cortes so he was buried (inside a discreet plaque detailing the exact location of his grave located beside the altar). Visit the Church of Jesus of Nazareth. LIFE... it's a TRIP!

This church from the 16th century that I use in its construction quarry and Tezontle is located in what was called the place (place of hummingbirds in Nahuatl) Huitzilac and according to tradition was the meeting point between Cortés and Moctezuma that on November 8, 1519. The interior of the Church is lacking in lighting, even to save a Mural of José Clemente Orozco; It is that the curse dropped you of found close to the "Tomb of Cortes' and therefore does not have reflectors that allow to appreciate it properly. There are some graves on both sides, a carved wooden altar beautifully highlights in the interior, in the same worships at our Lady of the wonders, outside this the walls look bare. The pews have separators in wood by identifying the site each parishioner. In the main Altar to the left are two plates, one stone and the other metal, which designate the place in which the remains of the Conquistador Hernán Cortés, Marques del Valle is rest. I question the reasons why Luce in oblivion and historical indifference the military genius that with six hundred men, sixteen horses and fourteen pieces of artillery, - in addition to fight and defeat the own representative in Cuba of the Spanish Empire (who sent against the Navy under the command of Panfilo de Narvaez that consisted of nineteen ships between boats and brigs) (, thousand four hundred soldiers, twenty pieces of artillery and thousand Indians of Cuba for the service). Conquered the Aztec Empire, the man who I eradicate the cult of human sacrifice and cannibalism that prevailed in Mesoamerica; the man that founded in the first Hospital in America and that to date remains in service. Enjoy the Church of Jesus of Nazareth... life is a journey!

Where to stay in Mexico City

Head straight to the trendy neighborhoods of Roma or La Condesa if you're looking for an artsy atmosphere--you can find design-conscious hostels and boutique hotels nestled among the many bars, restaurants, cafes, and galleries. For easy access to the city's most beautiful architecture, you can't beat staying in the historical center, although the neighborhood's UNESCO-listing means you'll only find smaller, old-fashioned options there. You can also indulge in a few luxury nights in the fancy Polanco district, or look for a more budget-friendly option in the popular Zona Rosa.
