  • A mass of humanity in a small space. There is some real art and high quality textiles and crafts. We were there on a holiday weekend, which I would not recommend. Otherwise, worth the trip.  more »
  • We loved walking the art gardens outside this market, and also exploring the artists inside. Such a lovely Saturday afternoon. Highly recommended for all art lovers.  more »
  • Beautiful place for mostly foreign visits. The entire area is very clean, you can eat from Greaves Street to several restaurants of various prices. It is incredible the number of craftsmen and artists that are selling their products in an atmosphere full of color, music and great atmosphere. I recommend it widely.

  • If you're looking for jewelry or Mexican tsotchkes, the Saturday Bazaar has a wide selection of choices, at various price points. Beyond that, it's not a very interesting market. Very little in high quality items from traditional Mexican artists. This one definitely caters to the tourist crowd. Overall, meh.
  • Nice place to buy a painting or craft. A bit smaller than expected and very crowded. It's not a whole afternoon activity more or less a few hours. yuppie restaurants and malls near by
  • Fantastic Saturday in CDMX. We arrived using Uber from out hotel in Cuautemoc. The trip was about C$7 and we were dropped off at the Case Studio Diego Rivera. Strolled through San Angel (ritzy neighborhood) and arrived at the market. There are a few sections. Take a coffee and pastry and sit in the park. View the paintings and other art for sale as well as more typical souvenirs, snacks, foods, etc. Having come a ways we walked over to Coyoacan after and spent the full day in the area.
  • I love this place, excellent to go for a walk, breakfast, meal or dinner plenty of good options specially Bistro83, also if you want to buy a gift you will find beautiful handicrafts and contemporary Mexican curious
  • Great for art, food and culture. Best place in the south to apreciate Mexico.

Where to stay in Mexico City

Head straight to the trendy neighborhoods of Roma or La Condesa if you're looking for an artsy atmosphere--you can find design-conscious hostels and boutique hotels nestled among the many bars, restaurants, cafes, and galleries. For easy access to the city's most beautiful architecture, you can't beat staying in the historical center, although the neighborhood's UNESCO-listing means you'll only find smaller, old-fashioned options there. You can also indulge in a few luxury nights in the fancy Polanco district, or look for a more budget-friendly option in the popular Zona Rosa.
