El Bazar del Sabado is a must if you are in Mexico city on a Saturday. Great location for walking around and seeing all the great art work, jewelry, etc. that these artists have to offer. Unique piece... more »

Every Saturday, are mounted stalls of artisans and young people who make their creations. All with very Mexican style, but also the neighborhood is one of the most beautiful in Mexico, is from the Colonial period and there are very good options for lunch also. It is worthwhile to know himView original -
A mass of humanity in a small space. There is some real art and high quality textiles and crafts. We were there on a holiday weekend, which I would not recommend. Otherwise, worth the trip. more »

Beautiful original art by dozens and dozens of local artists. I got a few paintings. There are many style and even sculptures. I would not buy alebrijes here-there are not many anyway. Prices average 3000-5000 pesos for something of good size and quality I would estimate. You can haggle a bit -maybe 10% but prices are fair already. I would not miss.

Nice break from the hectic city center! Very colorful streets surrounded by historical buildings. The bazaar is great are the numerous handicraft and art stalls all around it.A great place to shop for souvenirs whether just a small inexpensive handmade gift or authentic arts and crafts for your home. Lovely afternoon stop. Recommend Uber back and forth..

Quaint art market with plenty of great food options. Open only on Saturdays, artists lay out their artworks on the two parks that are at the heart of the bazaar. Around it are multiple restaurants and old-fashioned casonas that house local designer creations ranging from fine jewelry to organic foods and soaps. There are also street vendors that line the sidewalks with typical Mexican crafts. Overall a great and energizing way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Don't forget to try the quesadillas!

Wonderful space filled with a wide variety of arts and crafts on the Plaza. Purchased a wonderful painting called Night Spirit from the artist Ruben Espinoza Garcia. 4 stars for the wide variety of fine art (5) to cheap, mass produced junk and tourist-targeted schlock (0).

If you're looking for jewelry or Mexican tsotchkes, the Saturday Bazaar has a wide selection of choices, at various price points. Beyond that, it's not a very interesting market. Very little in high quality items from traditional Mexican artists. This one definitely caters to the tourist crowd. Overall, meh.
