  • I found this site to be more compact, more beautiful, and more fun than Chichen Itza. You see the pyramid of the Magician as you first enter, and it is magnificent. The nunnery quadrangle is also quit...  read more »
  • With few people, visit our pace and without pressure. Beautiful and well preserved monuments that give us, of their tops, great views of the complex and all the surrounding landscape

  • After covering the Aztec civilization, visit tour. Had the weather. We climbed the Grand pyramid pyramid magic can't climb, but. Green horizon views. Palace of the Governor of us climbed back up please. I loved it after climbing the Green horizon appears at the top of the pyramid of magic. Is the recommended view.

  • Uxmal is a beautiful ancient Mayan City. The buildings and stone carvings were absolutely astonishing. Our tour guide spoke fluent Mayan and had 40 years of experience doing tours through these ruins. If you want to record video (like with a GoPro, not just still photos) they make you pay a $5 fee; I was told that's a federal thing. Highly recommended, just don't try to bring little ones in strollers because the site has a lot of high incline steps and is not wheelchair friendly.
  • What a place!! So much better than Chichen Itza. Maybe not from an archeological point of view but the experience is much more relaxed without the crowds. The fact that part of the site is still covered really makes you appreciate how the jungle had once completely reclaimed all these old sites. A must see!!
  • One of the best archeological sites in Yucatan. Not so many people in the morning. Highly recommended!
  • Justifiably a rating as high as the "Wonder of the World" Chicken Itza, this by now means should be over looked. It's a little brother only by reputation; it is a fantastic archeological site to see. More rugged but detailed I think than 'Itza, more beautifully set if only lacking that main pivotal pyramid. Closer to Merida and with the bonus of being near some nice "cenotes" to add to your trip...
  • These ruins are definitely worth a visit! Much more relaxed than many of the other ruins in the area (e.g. Chichen Itza). Guides are not too expensive and very helpful in a group, and you can freely roam the extensive grounds. Very impressive!
